Open Carry Meet and Eat - Ridley Township, PA

At a dinner organized by Mark Fiorino he was interviewed by the Daily News columnist Stu Bykofsky . Mark became the target of the Philadelphia Police Department last year when he was arrested for legally open carrying his handgun in the city:
Fortunately, things went without incident at the dinner. No arrests where made but, hopefully, new friendships were.

    No license is needed, he is wrong on that.

      Silly Anonymous, what makes you think the govt follows its own laws? If the cops & their lackeys the courts say the law says you need a permit, then guess what? You need a permit. Scribbling on pieces of paper not withstanding.

    we are an occupied society.
    The government is a for profit militant entity that is plundering our society. It provides services only to keep us pliant and paying.

      The video of the Columbia, MO SWAT raid of a family's house on 2/11/2010 has gone viral. The police are using the same tactics as US forces in Iraq. The same methods as they're using to occupy a foreign country!

    The US government has shown over the last several years at least that it doesn't follow its own laws nor does it intend to do so. GW Bush was the most notorious at it but many other presidents and government agencies are just as bad. Why bother having a Constitution if it is more honoured in the breach than in the observance?

    The last 2 paragraphs:

    "At the time, I wrote that Fiorino was within his rights but was irresponsible to open-carry in Philly. I admire him for insisting on his rights, but . . .

    "After Applebee's, I stopped at Acme to pick up a few things. I know my rights, thanks to Mark, but I covered up the huge .45 on my belt. Sometimes reason trumps rights."

    Yielding to the superior force the cops can wield doesn't mean that "reason trumps rights". Then again Bykofsky's mainstream media. They can be slick, appearing to support something while really opposing it. Instead of saying that he shouldn't have to fear OC he makes it sound like having to hide his gun is reasonable. With friends like that who needs enemies?
